  Faith  (wek^vm)  Heb. 11:1-31 In the Bible, Faith is trust and reliance on God who is himself trustworthy. The New Testament and the Greek Old Testament express the understanding of faith primarily with two terms ‘pistis and pisteuein’ which is related to the primary OT verb ‘to be true’ or ‘to be trust wordy’ (aman). The Old Testament concept is more profound to describe faith.  Hebrew ‘aman’ is the root word faith, and this term conveys the sense of "reliability, stability" and "firmness." The hiphil verb from of  ‘aman’ means "to be certain, sure" or "to be assured" (cf. Gen 15:6 ; Ex 14:31 ; Num 14:11 ; Deut 1:32 , 9:23 ; Ps 78:22 ; Isa 43:10 ; Jonah 3:5 ). "Faith" is not blind or a leap into the unknown, but instead founded on truth certain of a real God and the absolute reality of His words. বাংলাদেশে গারো আদিবাসী স¤প্রদায় বাস করে বৃহত্তর ময়মনসিংহ, টাঙ্গাইল, নেত্রকোনা, সিলেট, জামালপুর এবং শেরপুর জেলায়। তাদের   প্রকৃতির সাথে জন্ম এবং প্রকৃতির সাথে একান্ত পরিচয়। তারা জীবন নির্বাহ করে কৃষি কাজ এবং জুম চাষ করে। তারা মাতৃতাšতৃক আদিবাসী স¤প্রদায়। তাদের সংস্কৃতি উন্মুক্ত ও খুবই সমৃদ্ধ। কোন এক সময় গারো সম্প্রদায়ের অঢেল সম্পত্তি ছিল। কিন্তু স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের সময় নির্বাসন এবং প্রতারণার শিকার হয়ে তারা নিঃসম্পতি হয়ে পরেছে। আনেকে খুব সল্প দামে জমি বিক্রি করে দিয়েছে। দারিদ্র মোকাবেলা করার জন্য তারা ভিবিন্ন কাজ করতে থাকে। তাদের মধ্যে বিউটি পার্লারে চাকরি অন্যতম ্এবং এ চাকরিকে দরিদ্র মোকাবেলার হাতিয়ার হিসাবে গ্রহণ করেছে। মান্দিদের ঢাকা শহরে অভিবাসন:  মান্দিরা ঢাকা শহরে আগমন করে ৭০ দশকের শেষের দিকে এবং ৮০ দশকের প্রথম দিকে। দরিদ্রতার তারনায় কাজের সন্ধানে তারা ঢাকা শহরে আসে। প্রথমে তারা কাজ করতে শুরু করে গার্মেন্টস ফ্যাক্টরিতে। ঢাকা শহরে মান্দিদের আগমন হয় মূলত কাজের সন্ধানে। বর্তমানে ঢাকা শহরে কাজ করা ব্যাতিত অনেক ছাত্রছাত্রী লেখাপরড়া করতে ঢাকা শহরে অবস্থান করছে। তারা উন্নত জীব...
